"Unity of Voids"

This EUROPAN III international competition winning project in Graz, Austria, proposed to unfold the territorial void of the city's river Mur into both urban and architectural scale. A peri-urban garden expands the river’s landscape allowing a multi-scale social interface, accentuated by the zoo-cube, a cultural program hosting shell. Facing the river a low-rise of 70 patio-villas spread suspended over a service strip borders the garden providing a full wide horizontal basis to the neighboring high rise residential towers. Together with Hélène Deplante and James Njoo we named that proposition “Unity of Voids”.
